About VSP Home Remodeling

The owner has always had a passion to make clients happy with quality workmanship.  After serving 4 years as a carpenter's apprentice he went on his own in 1989 doing only roofing and siding for 4 years.  In 1993 he added custom bathrooms and kitchens with windows and siding.  As the company grew Kevin focused his attention on improving construction industry standards and included these improvements in his work.  As a result of his successes he won numerous national awards and was asked by companies like Alcoa and Marvin to help launch some of their new products on the market.  He also represented Alcoa in several national publications.

Kevin's goal is to maintain his high level of workmanship and remain small enough to allow him to achieve this goal.

Kevin’s Rules
For Adding Value

  • Homeowner, do you homework.
  • Hire the right contractor to add value to your home.
  • Don’t shop on the Internet.  Get out…see and touch the products.
  • Don’t re-model up – and absolutely don’t remodel down.  Stay within the value range of your home, if you plan to sell.
  • Unless you’re going to stay in your home forever, don’t improve yourself out of the neighborhood.
  • When planning an addition, respect your home’s architectural integrity.
  • Never pick a contractor without seeing the work – and checking references.
  • If you plan to sell in the next five years or so, put your money into projects that will return the best ROI.
  • Go for value over bargains.
